During a race, here’s how MT-16 racing radio systems could work… The team may elect that only the crew-chief may transmit to the driver, but the driver’s transmissions might be received by all team personnel. No difference yet. But with MT-16 racing radios systems, the crew-chief, with one 2-way unit and one microphone, can also speak separately to everyone else on the team without the driver receiving the transmission. Or, the crew-chief’s unit could include (on the blue button) the driver and the crew, and on the red button the crew only.
